About Us

WHO WE ARE

Dunbar Athletic Boosters is a non-profit (501-C3) organization that is committed to supporting the athletic programs of Kanawha Valley and surrounding areas. DAB provides financial support through monies raised by volunteers to encourage excellence in our athletic programs.  DAB helps to purchase supplies, equipment, and make capital improvements beyond what the school athletic budgets provides. Joining the Booster Club and volunteering your time is great ways to promote students-athletes & school spirit in and among the community in which we live.

Who We Support In The Community

Dunbar Athletic Boosters, Incorporated supports community youth activities, schools, school sports programs, school academics, youth bowling, little league baseball, youth football/cheer, little League basketball, local travel sports teams and cheer gyms. The Athletic Booster budget year runs January 1, 2024 – December 31, 2024 and we anticipate that our projected revenues will cover the amounts designated to our recipients. In the event these projections are not met, budget adjustments will be made accordingly.

What We Require From Approved Organizations

  1. We require a minimum of 4 people from your organization to work the Bingo Floor.
  2. Boosters may reassign workers to different areas as needed (Bingo, Tips, Concession).  We ask that workers be cooperative and work where assigned.
  3. The Bingo shifts are 3:30 PM – 10:30 PM every Saturday.  Shifts can be broken into two by your organization; however, there must be a minimum of 4 workers on site from 3:30 pm – 10:30 pm.
  4. Organization volunteers will work an estimated 4-5 times per year as scheduled.
  5. Please be aware that if your organization does not meet their assigned scheduled dates, there will be no make-up dates and your budgeted funds will not be paid.

Dunbar Athletic Boosters provides funds only for group /organizational needs such as uniforms, equipment, classroom needs, etc.  If for any reason you are not able to meet the work schedule due to tournaments or other occasions that will require your entire organization to be unavailable, please notify us as soon as possible so that we can do our best to accommodate the work schedule change.
